Film Baby's web store is a destination for film fans the world over. In addition, through our relationships with strategic partners we are able to expand the reach of our distribution to theatrical releases, brick and mortar retail stores, other website retailers, and video rental companies.
We recognized a significant need for an independent film outlet on the web. Having had the powerful experience of enabling hundreds of thousands of musicians to promote and sell their works to a targeted, worldwide audience, it was obvious to us that the independent film community would surely benefit from an artist friendly, non-exclusive, service that delivers the lion's share of revenue to the artists who create the films that enable us to exist.
Film Baby was born of a love for film, pure and simple. We knew what an asset a worldwide marketplace for indie film would be; and we knew how to create one. We started in 2005 with just a few film titles, a warehouse in Portland, OR, and a great idea.
Film Baby deals directly with the creators of the films that we offer. We have built an outlet where film makers can expose and sell their works to a worldwide audience while keeping an average of 80% of the sale price. Film Baby makes payments to artists every week for their sales.
All of us at Film Baby have years of experience in the entertainment industry and several of us are film makers as well.
