Synopsis

A documentary/travelogue about Bandelier National Monument, a National Park Service monument near Santa Fe and Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA. The video examines this area of the Ancestral Puebloans, also known as The Anasazi, who built their homes and carried on with a lifestyle viewed by some today with envy. As they irrigated their fields, the ancients carved out homes in the soft rock of canyon walls. They also built villages of various sizes, moving across the landscape of the Pajarito Plateau, providing thousands of known archaeological sites.
