BIO:
Rodney López is an accomplished Latin dance instructor and director of the Salsa Program at Dance Manhattan, one of New York City’s leading dance schools. He is praised by colleagues and students alike for his entertaining and thoughtful teaching style. He has performed both nationally and internationally with the Addie-Tude Dance Company and served as its Captain. Rodney's work has been featured in documentaries, news articles and other media. He was interviewed in the PBS documentary "Nuyoricans: Puerto Ricans in New York.” He is a featured instructor in the new DVD "Salsa for Peace: Orquesta de la Luz Live at the Copacabana" and the critically acclaimed Paramount Classics release “Mad Hot Ballroom” features his teaching work with the American Ballroom Theater's Dancing Classrooms program. A devoted student of the history of Latin music and dance, Rodney has written about Salsa history for various print and Internet news outlets. He currently teaches Latin music history and dance for the Bank Street College of Education.

Note:
One should already be familiar with basic Salsa movements in order to get the most out of this DVD. The instruction is given in the New York "On 2" style, yet is easily applicable to all forms of Salsa dancing.
