Doug Holm is a 33-year old logging truck driver from Michigan's Upper Peninsula who takes his first trip out of the area to downtown Chicago. He is guided through a myriad of cultural experiences by Chicago Socialite Dave Buetow that includes African drumming lessons, salsa dancing instruction and of course an afternoon at Wrigley Field. The film is a humorous look at the difference between the two cultures with sentimental reminder of the significance of "home" to each of us.
