Ernesto Caballero became an artist in 4th grade at IBAEDI School of Arts in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, where he was born. His world has been enriched with the arts of dance, music, paint and theatre since early age; and with the school he participated in national performances and competitions.
At age 9 he began his training in Classical Ballet, Contemporary and Modern Dance. Instructors Gonzalo Canedo and Teresa Quiroga become his mentors, and he studied and worked with them for over 10 years. He also studied Jazz Dance with Carlos Uriarte (Bolivia), Choreography of Modern Dance with Marisol Ferrari (Venezuela), and Composition and Improvisation of Modern Dance with Nicolas Rodriguez (Puerto Rico).
At age 14 he become a member of G.E.D. Dance Company directed by Gonzalo Canedo and Teresa Quiroga, performing in annual events such as Annual Cultural Week, I International Festival of Culture Sucre (1990), II International Festival of Culture Sucre, Potosi (1992), the Winter Festival of Dance, and the Summer Festival of Dance.
In 1991, he was invited to be part of the main group of the Ballet Folkloric Sombrero de Sao, official ballet for the festival of the same name, under the direction of Gonzalo Canedo, performing in events such as Celebration of 300 years of the Missions of Chiquitos, IV Festival Sombrero de Sao (Jesuit Missions), V Festival Sombrero de Sao (Moxitania), VI Festival Sombrero de Sao (Chiriguania), Inauguration of the Bolivian Games, and the Summit of America (performing for the Latin American presidents and fucionaries). With the Ballet he performed nationally in events including II International Festival of Culture Sucre-Potosi (1992), International Festival of Folkloric Dance (September Sun), Cultural Integration of the Jesuit Missions, IV International Festival of Culture Sucre (1996), II International Festival of Folkloric Dances (September Sun), and I International Festival of Folkloric Dance Simon Patiño; he also was selected to perform with the ballet on international stages such as EXPO 1992 Seville in Spain; July Festival in Valencia, Spain; Bolivian Cultural Week in Lima, Peru; and VI Encounter of New World Folkloric Dance in Riobamba, Ecuador.
His experience called him to be dance member of Demos Danza Dance Company for over three years, directed by Teresa Quiroga. He also participated in the Chaplin Show Entertainment Comedy Company, was a dance member of professional contemporary company El Tunel and of Show Center, directed by Mary Rosa Moreno (Bolivia).
A new level in dance come to his life when the invitation of a friend, brought him to meet Morita del Sol, the dance members of Flamenco del Sol Academy and the Gypsy Spirit of Flamenco; he studied Flamenco with Alberto Turina of Argentina, Tateo Kusano of Japan, and Giselle of Argentina. Soon after he became a dance member and instructor of the academy, participating in national events such as Festival of Iberoamerican Dances (earning First place and Distinguished guest), International Dance Festival of the Latin American Society of Dance (earning a Second Place), Tablao Flamenco del Sol, Tablao Sevilla, stage presentation of La Vida Breve, Carmen, Corazón de Cádiz, Fuego Flamenco, Desde Córdoba A Sevilla, El Arte Español de Andalucía, and was part of the Choreography Team of Misa Flamenca and El Puente a Triana.
In 1999, he moved to the United States as part of Flamenco del Sol Dance Company and former member of Sol de Bolivia Dance Company to perform at the Theme Parks of Orlando, Florida. In 2001 he found his soul mate and wife Jenny, and in 2002 Alborea Dances—Passion of the Gypsies—started to take form. In 2003, Ernesto and Jenny become members of Rhythmic Harmony Productions as Professional Dancers, Choreographers, Instructors and part of the Artistic Creative Team for over three years.
Ernesto has continued his instruction in Flamenco with masters including Jose Greco II (Spain), Antonio Vargas (Spain), Miguel Angel Diez (Spain), our great master Carmen Linares (Chiqui), andby working with extraordinary dancers El Paquirri and Leticia "La Canela" and guitarist Jose Linares "El Patriarca". He also has studied Persian Dances with Mahmood Simrakh and Argentine Tango from international instructors including Alberto and Selena, Nito and Elba, Miriam Larici and Hugo Patyn, Natalia Patyn and Jorge Tagliaferro, and Facundo and Kelly Posadas.
Ernesto has performed professionally all over Florida including daily performances for over two years at Latin Quarter (Universal Studios City Walk), Viva La Musica at SeaWorld, Hotel Casa Monica in St. Augustine-Florida, Marriot-Ritz Resort, Gaylord Palms Resort, Coronado Springs Walt Disney Resort, The Swan and Dolphin Hotels, The Wyndham Hotel, Peabody Hotel, Rosen Plaza Hotel, Ritz-Carlton Resort in Amelia Island, Café Tututangos in Orlando for over three years, Ali Baba Restaurant for over five years, Mirage Restaurant in Clearwater, Maja's Spirit of the Tribes 5 and 6 in Ft. Lauderdale, weekly performances at Café Spain in St Augustine, and more.
An experienced dancer and choreographer, Ernesto has been former member of Le Mirage Productions and Mozarabez Spanish-Arabic Fusion Dance Group; also performing with GypsiKelts Drum 'n Dance Clan, Raks! Rhythm! Ritual!, Sultanate Al Raks Sharki, A Magi Productions and the great artist and spiritual master Tory Winter.
Ernesto and Jenny produced the Gala Dinner Show Night Bolivian Independence Celebration, which has been in the television program "The World of Dance in Central Florida" by Vision TV/Orange County TVv, under the production of Ericka Cotton (Zenubia). He also has made appearance in Television Programs including International Cultural Video for Italian Reporters, Raza Camba Music Video, Travel Channel's Great Hotels Series, and Al Dia Todos Los Dias.
