This short documentary features the stories of five Butch women and their experinces in that most imtimate of public spaces, the bathroom. The women interviewed share their stories of the best (unisex) and the worst (airports and shopping malls) and talk about the strategies they employ to navigate restrooms safely. Flush This! shares these experiences with honest storytelling, humor, chilling (and sometimes cheesey) re-enactments.
This film is fun, easy to watch and accessible and has been used by women studies and gender studies programs and non-profit service agencies to open dialogue about gender presentation and sexism.
