"The violence in the movie is bravely over the top, but nothing too exploitive, when Psycho gets what's coming to him (and you knew that he would) you find yourself rooting the hero on, no matter how grisly it gets. And kudos to Mr. Williams for not flinching when it comes to the violence, while uncomfortable at first, it makes the revenge so much sweeter when it finally comes around. And, because Williams is an excellent filmmaker, the violence isn't there just for the shock value, it actually forwards the story, which is pretty rare in these days of the 'torture film'. I'm giving The Hood Has Eyez three and a half out of four cigars. Williams hit the nail on the head with this movie...literally (see the movie.)"

"I have to give credit to director/writer Terrence Williams because this film is just down right sleazy, nasty, and vile. It's basically the type of subject matter you'd be talking about when mentioning the video nasties, or films that used to show up regularly on 42nd street, but with a more modern twist to it. I can't tell you just how mean spirited this movie can be at times, and there were moments of general shock on my face during some of the more violent scenes. I can't say that very often and believe me I watch a lot of films of this nature. I'm a sucker for sleaze and this one delivers the sleaze in boatloads. If you are thinking it might be time to check out a low budget Indy shocker, I'd say this is the one you should see."

LOL...... needless to say dont watch this film with your girlfriend after you've had a fight. It might empower her and give her too many ideas!

I have to say this was probably the most vile and offensive movie that I've ever enjoyed to this level! It'll have you wanting to scratch your eyes out and take a shower with a steel wool pad one second and unable to peel your eyes from the screen the next. If you enjoyed the classic Grindhouse revenge films of the 70's such as "Day of The Woman", "Last house on the left", "Last House On Dead-End Street", etc then you'll go completely insane for this film....but even those films cant prepare you for the brutality of "The Hood Has Eyez".......You've been warned!!!!!! "First of all: If you are of the political correct denomination, don't watch this film, you will not like it (even though on closer inspection the film is far less politically incorrect than it seems to be). Also, if you have got a weak stomach, don't watch. If you are a gorehound however, or a fan of 1970's grindhouse flicks, then this one is for you, a film about the torture, rape and humiliation of three pretty girls in schoolgirl uniforms including one of the girls' bloody revenge.
However, The Hood has Eyez is not just one mindless, misogynistic gorefest that has little to go for it above the violence, actually writer/director Terrence Williams shows remarkable skills in storytelling and character development, especially as the film is only approximately 70 minutes long, and somehow all the brutality makes sense in the context of his story instead of the story serving as a mere hanger for gruesome scene after gruesome scene.
On a directorial level, the film comes across as extremely savage, not so much because the violence is so explicit but because of the use of documentary- or news-style camerawork including handheld camera, long shots and sudden camera moves, which suggest a certain closeness to and authenticy of onscreen events. Plus, in this case, the obviously low budget works for the film, as it limits the number of locations which gives the film a much more coherent feel. And of course, certain very subtle references to 1970's grindhouse cinema are nothing short of charming (at least to fans like me).
That the key actors Cyd schulte and Antonio Royuela are impressive in their roles of course also helps ...
In all, watch this movie ... but only if you're sure you can stomach it !"

I really have to hand it to Terrence to have the balls to create such a brutal, sadistic twisted film which falls into the same category as these older cult classic films I have grown up loving (I Spit On Your Grave, The Last House On The Left). I can’t recall how many times when watching this film it had my emotions jumping from down to up, while I found myself slightly turning my head away from the TV and squinting my eyes from the extreme torture scenes. One minute it’s a low angel up the skirt panty scene and then the next it’s some guy pulling out a tampon and then sucking the blood out of it. This went on and on throughout the whole film, and honestly I loved every single minute of this film and most of all the impact it had on me. I can assure you that Terrence Williams: The Hood Has Eyez is one film you won’t regret buying and owning on DVD. If you enjoy watching rape and revenge films as I mentioned before, lots of nudity, extreme violent torture, well then this film is what you want to get right now.

Thankfully, The Hood Has Eyez is the sort of indie movie that makes Hollywood look like a bunch of pussies. High on the list of indecencies committed during this film are: golden showers, soiled tampon sucking, coat hanger fetus removal, violation with a broken beer bottle, penis nailing, and more than one instance of anal molestation – one of which culminates with the victim receiving a "Dirty Sanchez". Yes, this really is a treat for the whole family, provided that family is a bunch of hardened exploitation loving nutters of course.

Terrence Williams surprises me with a gruesome and awfully unique take on the revenge thriller
with “The Hood Has Eyez,” in the end it’s an ambitious twist on "Last house on the Left" with
its legs firmly planted in the Grindhouse arena.

The Hood Has Eyez is a gory, genital mutilation-filled sleaze fest featuring broken beer bottles thrust into vaginas, filthy Sanchez, fetuses ripped out from between legs with coat hangers, gangsters sucking soiled tampons, golden showers, balls clipped off with garden tools, nails hammered into penises, hacked off limbs, beheadings, and more. It's a must see for fans of the extreme underground.

Probably the one scene that took horror to a whole new level was the abortion scene. If your curiosity has been peeked, go rent or buy this film. It is worth a watch, although you may be in shock upon the first viewing. Trust me, after watching it three more times, it really grows on you.
The Hood Has Eyez is an extremely nasty and funny film. I think Terrence Williams will really have to outdo himself to top this film. I anxiously await the next film Williams ‘discharges‘ and hope that its just as brutal!
