My film review...
To be completely honest, this film was nearly unwatchable. To begin with, the subtitles scrolled underneath the speaker in the beginning scene much too quickly to be able to finish reading each sentence. Also, during the same segment the music was so loud and dramatic that it made it hard for anyone who understood Lao to hear what he was saying. When the segment on the history of Laos started, the photos were edited together at such a breakneck pace that one could barely grasp what they were seeing before a new picture was on the screen. I actually felt a little motion sickness during this part. At this point I stopped watching the film. Perhaps the quality dramatically improved further into the film, but I doubt it.
