Synopsis

We don't remember a lot about our distant past, but we do remember our favorite movie theater. Featuring efforts to save historic movie theaters in Boston, Chicago, Omaha, and Salt Lake City, "Preserve Me a Seat" is a documentary about these theaters and the ongoing fight to protect and preserve them for future generations. Director Jim Fields and his camera crew capture on film the victories and defeats of dedicated preservationists as they enter the cultural battle zone to save some of America's finest examples of classic architecture.
