With over two and a half million people of East Indian descent in the U.S., this is a timely introduction to an important community. Our show uses performance and interviews to illustrate Indian arts, culture and religious traditions. Our performers, Kalanjali: Dances of India (led by K.P. and Katherine Kunhiraman) are well known in both the United States and India. Once again, Eve A. Ma is the host.
The solo performers come from India while the others, part of the Indian diaspora, live in the San Francisco Bay Area. The solo dancer is K.P. Yeshoda while the singer is Saisidaran.
