CD + DVD SET HIGHLAND LADDIE: song - music - film is the latest production from the creators of ‘When the Pipers Play’. It is a unique listening and viewing experience – ‘essential’ for every collection.
HIGHLAND LADDIE is a collection of songs, music and films about the Scottish Soldier which reflect his spirit, his gallantry, his irreverent humour and of course the pride he felt for his regiment.
Presented by Isla St Clair, one of Scotland’s top broadcasters and traditional singers. The film also features Pipe Major Gordon Walker, one the world's top solo pipers. However in the film he is in charge of the Pipes and Drum of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
The DVD (75 minutes) has 9 sequences of songs, music, interviews, stunning scenery and rare archive. The DVD Special Feature is the Music Video of the hit song Scottish Soldier filmed at Edinburgh Castle and other locations. There is also a 20 minute DVD bonus film called 'Remembrance'.
The CD (55 minutes) contains 15 tracks of vocals, solo piping and pipe band.
