The United States Flag Videos provide an entertaining way for children of all ages to learn about the history of the American Flag, and how to respect and care for the stars and stripes. This series covers three topics: The U.S. Flag History, Flag Etiquette and the Pledge of Allegiance.
The U. S. Flag History Video features host Cara DeLizia from the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. Shot at the beautiful Ronald Reagan Presidential library and at Betsy Ross’ House, inspiring music, photos, and historical recreations tell the story of how our flag came to be and what it represents.
Actor Sean Patrick Thomas of The District, Save the Last Dance, Barbershop and Barbershop 2 and co-host Elaine Kao are featured on the Flag Etiquette Video. This video, which teaches viewers how to display and show proper respect for the flag, includes the animated character Flaggy and is shot in a fire station with the Fire Chief helping to explain the do’s and don’ts of how to treat the flag.
In the Pledge of Allegiance Video President Teddy Roosevelt comes to life, bounding out of a picture of Mount Rushmore that is hanging in an elementary school classroom. President Roosevelt and the teacher pair up to teach her pupils about the meaning of the Pledge in an entertaining and inspiring way, looking in on Francis Bellamy as he wrote the Pledge.
