Synopsis

A recently executed mass murderer named Nick Dread is unintentionally summoned into the body a of a college girl by a bunch of "Goths" who call themselves the "Scorpion Society". They think they are merely going to have fun at the drugged up girls expense. Little do they know that the occult ritual they practice strictly for fun is about to bring an ages old madman with demonic powers into their midst.

Written to poke fun at the New York City "Goth" scene, this movie features many prominent members of that very subculture. Blood, boobs, fire and laughs abound. Not for kids.

Nick Dread: Flambeaux | bio
Scottish born fire breathing performance artist Flambeaux believes he has at least one thing in common with his character Nick Dread.
Both were burned at the stake during the middle ages. At least, that's one of the reasons he credits his life long fascination with fire with. Flambeaux has been doing fire shows and making exotic costumes to go with his performances for most of his adult life. He started out doing street performances and Ireland and Scotland. Since then, he's done elaborate fire shows at star studded events from Las Vegas to Europe. He also had a recurring role in the Lebanese tv show "Mission Fashion". He wrote and directed his own Off Broadway show "World Of The P Cult" . He also has several film acting credits including feature appearances with Harvey Kietel and an appearance on David Letterman. Approached by JJ Connelly during the filming of "World Of The P Cult" Flambeaux has been just as active behind the scenes of "GothKill..." as he was on screen. His performance as mad priest turned charismatic cult leader Nick Dread is incredibly convincing, partly because he indeed has his own "Cult", performance troupe "The P Cult".

Like Kate and Annie, Eve moved to the big city to attend NYU and fufill her dream of being an actress in Cats, the broadway musical. But musical theater did not sit well with Eve. She fell in with some evil, vampire wannabes who took advantage of her in all sorts of dirty ways she thoroughly enjoyed. Well, they weren't actually vampires - just typical New York City low-lives who showed her the dark side and taught her how to raise a little Hell. This is writer JJ Connelly's directorial debut. JJ has been writing and working behind the scenes in everything from Broadway shows, feature films and television to small, independent movies and trailers as well as off- off Broadway and avant garde performances for over a decade.
JJ was the director of photography for "World of the P Cult" (starring Flambeaux) which is in post production, and has a camera credit in Beth Cloutier's "Ignited" (a work in progress), a documentary about the world of fire breathing performers and other pyrotechnic artists.
JJ has several scripts in various stages of development and never stops looking for ways to bring his twisted view of the world to life.

Long-time readers may recall previous articles about Gothkill, a.k.a. the little horror film that could. Writer/Director JJ Connelly worked tirelessly to bring his vision to the big screen, dealing with casting issues, location problems, and an early backer who left JJ holding the bag. But the film is finally finished. After years of on-again, off-again work, the obvious question is: Does Gothkill accomplish its major goal of providing a scary good time?

Yes, it does. The film focuses on Nick Dread, a disgraced monk from Inquisition times who rebelled against the Church's hypocrisy by making a deal with the Devil; Nick wants his own kingdom in Hell, but first he must claim 100,000 souls. Fortunately, he has all of the lifetimes he needs at his disposal. So, when Nick is executed in modern-day New York, he comes back by possessing a bright-eyed young girl who has just arrived in the big city to make her dreams come true. Her dreams probably didn't include killing a dozen Goths in a Lower East Side nightclub, but that just makes her doing so all the more fun.
