Synopsis

In 2004 Zoltan Films were the first to produce a comprehensive filmed account of Digby Fairweather's career in jazz. In both performance and conversation Digby is seen with a host of British jazz stars and legends including his Half-Dozen, Humphrey Lyttelton, George Melly, Don Lusher, Nat Gonella, Dave Shepherd and hosts more.

In between the music (featuring a wide variety of rare film, archive and TV clips) he talks frankly in a specially-filmed interview about his life and projects as a jazz musician; performing, teaching, writing, broadcasting, founding institutions including the National Jazz Archive - and surviving 'during his journey to becoming one of the most successful jazz musicians and ambassadors in Britain'.

'Scenes from a Jazz Life' (Zoltan Films); the complete and vivid portrait of Digby Fairweather.
