Olan Bassham did this filmed interview of Johnny and June Cash in the yard of the
historic Carter Family Home when they were vibrant and looking good healthwise. Marty Stuart, then a member of Johnny's band, arranged the interview. Johnny, before he entered the music field on the Arkansas farm, speaks of his high regard for his friend Lester Flatt. He tells of buying every record of Flatt and Scruggs that he could buy and trying to sing every song just like Lester. June speaks of her respect for Lester as a friend and tells of the good times she had with Gladys and Louise the wives of Flatt and Scruggs and of helping Flatt and Scruggs record the Beverley Hillbilly theme song.
