Ray Hewitt, a troubled Vietnam Veteran, returns home years after the war to relax and catch up on some quality tv time. Standing in his way are his determined niece and nephews who won't back down when it comes to their after school programming. Adding to Ray's frustration are the loud and overbearing neighbors (the Humphries family) and their pet rooster. When a blast from Ray's past shows up at the door, Ray has had about all he can handle. The forces of small town USA and old trauma threaten to push Ray over the edge and jeopardize everyone around him. Will the families realize the importance of one another before it is too late?
