  Producer Danyel Seagan is a multimedia artist, metaphysical theorist and book author. In all the emphasis nowadays on the one-world concept, he truly is a global human. He has lived in nine countries on four continents at various times in his life. He speaks five languages, so he does have an intimate understanding of the connectedness of humanity throughout the world. His project Astral Traveler is a 31-minute DVD that combines a variety of music and visuals ideal for relaxation or meditation. It was created on a laptop computer as an experiment of imagination. In addition to the DVD, Seagan's evocative website, www.astraltraveler.com, contains very cool visual images and a wealth of information on many levels. The website was created to explore aspects of cosmic consciousness. His Astral Traveler DVD is a manifestation of those explorations, inviting us to take a voyage through star fields, mystical realms, gas clouds and beyond.

  Astral Traveler: A DVD unlike anything I have experienced (so far). I've been a meditator for years. Daily meditation is as much a part of my life as eating or breathing air. So when I first, and I must admit, skeptically experienced Astral Traveler, a sensory meditation experience that invites you to "immerse yourself in this voyage through both inner and outer realities," I was unprepared for the depth of my experience. According to Astral Traveler marketing language, you will "fly through star fields, gas clouds, fractal formations and mystical worlds to soothing soundscapes that can help unlock your mind to long-forgotten secrets of ancient, universal knowledge. It communicates on a deep, inner level that which cannot be expressed through language." Wow! A pretty big claim. But in my own experience, this DVD lives up to its promise, and then some. Use Astral Traveler for meditation, relaxation, or as an ambient background experience, or, with apologies to Gene Roddenberry, to "simply to go where [you] have not gone before." Astral Traveler was created by artist Danyel Seagan, who was inspired by his own voyages of cosmic consciousness.
