Film Overview

Johnny Covini (Jonathan Cross) gives a great performance as a street wise rock 'n' roll drummer torn between his fatasy of rock stardom and his life of illegal gambling and cocain abuse. In an attempt to buy cocain - which could send him in to a major relapse after spending twenty-eight days in rehab, he gets busted. His uncle Al (Vince Stefini) an underworld figure, pulls some strings and gets his nephew a deal which gets him probation and to spend six months working on his uncle's horse farm. As fate would have it, Johnny meets up with Billy Curry, (Levi Wilson) a well respected rock drummer in the recording industry, and romances Rosanna Angelini, (Cathy Liebars) a sensitive and caring young woman from Johnny's neigborhood. Curry takes Johnny under his wing and introduces him to a new found faith and shows him what confidence and courage is all about! Johnny gets the break of a lifetime when Billy gives him a lead on an audition with artist, Scott Matthews who has just been signed to a three record deal with Virgin Records and soon to go on a world tour.
