Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, KEN SABA (producer, co-writer, editor) earned two Associate of the Arts degrees – in Film and Animation, and Television Production – from DeAnza College. His satiric film short COMPULSION – starring Matt Lambro - was a finalist in student film competitions at DeAnza and in San Jose. Ken also produced and co-wrote the comedy troop production WITS’ END – with Matt Lambro and four other comedians – which gained local recognition for their mirrorized sense of humor that took a satiric stab at film, television, advertising, and society; WITS’ END received a grant and sponsorship from the City of Cupertino and DeAnza College to produce a show for public broadcast television. After his graduation from DeAnza, Ken was employed at NASA’s Ames Research Center as their Television Production Department’s Lead Videographer on several national and international award-winning broadcast programs. He also produced and directed a variety of NASA video productions. After four-years, Ken left NASA to go back to school at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Master of Fine Arts in Film and Entertainment Design. While attending Art Center – Ken was the writer, producer, and director of television commercials and theme park entertainment projects, earning award wins at many festivals and showcases – such as the Clio’s, Telly, London International Advertising Awards, the TiLE (Trends in Leisure Entertainment) design conference, and many others. In 2004, Ken Saba and Matt Lambro won the grand prize Panasonic Digital Filmmaker’s Grant Award for their feature film screenplay THE UNTITLED MICHAEL CHORDAS PROJECT (later re-titled THE LITTLE DOCUMENTARY THAT COULDN’T); Ken also produced and edited the ‘mockumentary.’ Ken’s additional work includes writing and producing Art Center College of Design’s new recruitment video, serving as a Lead Editor on broadcast television commercials and on-air promos, and the writing and video editing of news programs and various new media productions for the Los Angeles Police Department. Besides being a theme park geek, Ken is developing a web series for F***ING WITTY – a Los Angeles based comedy troop starring Michelle Prenez of “Lucky Legendary.com,” April Wahlin of Fox Reality Channel’s THE SEARCH FOR THE NEXT ELVIRA, and Jennifer Wenger (formerly Jennifer Gehrt) of Morgan Spurlock’s CONFESSIONS OF A SUPERHERO.
