Synopsis

Signing Families created the Baby, Toddler and Preschool Sign Language DVD with families, caregivers, educators, therapists and children in mind! More than 100+ signs are demonstrated by Louise Masin Sattler and her young friends in this DVD! (Don't miss the montage of the babies and their moms signing!) Special needs and bilingual children also will benefit from the clearly demonstrated signs with easy to follow explanations.

The signs are demonstrated in a fun and interactive format. They include basic signs for daily activities (eg. eating, dressing, and playing), transitional signs to assist a child to shift easier from one activity to another ( "Time for...), behavioral signs to help a child communicate their wants and needs and hopefully keep them safe (eg. such as the signs HELP, CAREFUL, and SHARE), the Alphabet, Numbers 1-10 (Spanish and English) and basic signs in with spoken Spanish (As part of a bonus feature).

Louise Masin Sattler is your instructor. She is a School Psychologist who has worked with young children of all ages. She specializes in helping children with developmental disabilities (eg. autism and cognitive impairments) and/or sensory impairments (eg. deafness). She also is multi-lingual and has worked within the deaf and hispanic communities.

I just wanted to write and thank you again for your class this past Saturday. Last night "A" made her first sign, asking for "more" of her snack! It was amazing to see and experience. We even made sure not to scream our excitment, but to clap and give kisses and let her know that she was doing a very good thing, and I believe she was pleased. Also, she did the babble version, as you suggested she would, knocking some fingers into the palm of her other hand.

My husband and I just can't believe the turnaround time of only four days, and are very motivated to keep going and encouraging "A" to sign. We even gave your DVD to our day care provider to use during the day as well.

Louise Masin Sattler is a multi-lingual School Psychologist who has worked with children and their families for over 20 years. She specializes in children with hearing impairments, educational difficulties, developmental delays or sensory impairments.

Louise has taught many popular sign language workshops to children, families, educators, businesses, healthcare professionals and college students.

Louise and her husband, Marc, created the Signing Families company to meet the needs of people who wanted to learn sign language affordably and in an easy to follow format. Louise and Marc have two children. Both children started to use sign language prior to their first spoken words and their first birthdays!
