"On Our Way Up" is an urban docudrama set in one of the roughest hoods in the United States, Atlanta's "Zone 6" (nicknamed "Little Vietnam"). Witness first-hand a world of drug deals, drive by shootings, assassinations, and abject poverty, and then see how they rise above it all. A true story, the subjects of the film (Anthony Clark, Emmanuel Clark, Brian Clark, and Charles Freeman) actually started their own studio (Three C Studios) and financed and co-produced the film. Ultimately they hope "On Our Way Up" can inspire other young African Americans to escape a life of drugs and killing, even when it seems like their only option.
"On Our Way Up" was shot completely in HD and features an amazing hip-hop soundtrack, with original music from "Profit" and many other talented Atlanta artists.
"On Our Way Up" was produced by Ben Buie and Directed by Ed Hill (with over 20 years of experience as a professional TV and film cinematographer and director).
Here is the "logline": How do you survive the temptations of a dead end life of crime involving drugs and killing? Hear it from the ones who lived it. Four brothers struggle to keep their heads above water. Thinking outside the box, they crawled before walking into corporate America, striving to be the best entrepreneurs they could be without stumbling back into the hood.
