Synopsis

A Diamond In The Sky is a story about four best friends, raised in Philadelphia, and making their transition from adolescence to adulthood. The film picks up during their senior year in high school when they realize the decisions they make today will dictate the life they lead. Throughout the course of the year, they fight, fall in love, and deal with moral issues that seem to plague the lives of our youth such as, peer pressure, parental pressure, teenage pregnancy, STDs, HIV, and Aids. Monique, Tyrone, Jovan, and Tyanna have been friends since elementary school. Tyrone is a world-class athlete who is one of the top running back prospects in the nation, yet due to his fame and popularity he questions whether people are genuine with him. Jovan is an accomplished basketball player, yet refuses to utilize his gift, keeping his talent locked away inside his heart. Tyanna is an extremely talented writer who is haunted by her past. Monique is a very beautiful and spoiled young woman who expects the world to fall at her feet. The trials and tribulations endured by the group of friends leads to an ending that shows the power of love and friendship.

According to Bernard Gray, writer/director/CEO of Diamond Entertainment Productions, “Whether it is a parent & child, friends, or lovers, our relationships are the most important aspects of our lives. These relationships shape our lives, alter our destinies, and have the power to lift us up to reach places we’ve never dreamed or sink us to depths unknown. This film embodies that importance and shines light on the most overlooked, but highly detrimental aspect in the lives of our present youth who will lead our future. This film not only speaks to the youth about how their decisions today affect their tomorrow, but it also speaks to the parents about understanding and trusting their children, and more importantly themselves.”
