Synopsis

Jason and deMarco have dealt with conflict all their lives. Being gay, Christian, and a struggling singer-songwriter duo will do that. They first had to deal with their inner conflicts in accepting their own homosexuality, then their parents' reactions, and now the not-so-welcoming reaction of the Christian music world. Sexy, funny and inspirational, the award-winning "We're All Angels" follows Jason and deMarco as they prepare their newest CD, laying down tracks in the studio, doing photo shoots, radio promotion, and performing across the country at any church that'll have them. While they strive to achieve a successful musical career, their message of hope and acceptance to young gay Christian teenagers is nothing less than life-saving. The teenage suicide rate among this demographic is horribly high, and Jason and deMarco are positive role models for kids struggling with their conflicting sexuality/spirituality. As their producer's mother says, "It must break God's heart the things we do in the name of religion." Amen.
Following a hugely successful run on Showtime, "We're All Angels" is now available on an extras-packed deluxe DVD that includes a 40-minute "making of" featurette, two full-length musical performances, 13 deleted scenes, a mini-documentary on what the Bible really has to say about being gay, a revealing audio commentary and more.

Stars: deMarco and Jason Warner (AKA Jason & deMarco) | bio
With the international release of their album, "Till the End of Time", Jason & deMarco became familiar names to music fans around the world. Their first single “Trying to Get to You" climbed the Billboard Charts and their second single, "This is Love" won "Music Video of the Year" in 2006 on MTV's LOGO.
After appearing on the cover of The Advocate, many different denominations ─ including Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, and Episcopal groups ─ began inviting Jason & deMarco to perform for their members. “Not only did it open the door to many of these churches, who had primarily ‘straight’ members where we were invited to come and share our music and our story of reconciliation, but it also introduced us to important GLBT organizations.”
Jason and deMarco met in 2001 at Vermont Restaurant in Los Feliz Village in Hollywood, CA where deMarco worked as a waiter. In August of 2008, the pair returned there to take advantage of California’s new law allowing gay marriage, making their relationship official and legal in the place they met.
While Jason & deMarco tour internationally in various venues, they also continue sharing their music and message with the community of faith around the world. The duo performs over one hundred concerts per year and have just released their latest pop album, “Safe.”

ROBERT NUNEZ (Director and Producer) makes his feature-length documentary directing debut with We're All Angels. This project fulfills a life-long dream to make entertaining programming with life-affirming themes.
No stranger to the film world, Robert has conceived and produced memorable value added material for some of the most iconic TV shows of all time, including Knight Rider, Quantum Leap, The Incredible Hulk, The Rockford Files and Sliders. In addition, Robert has contributed to the DVDs for a number of Oscar-winning films, including A Beautiful Mind, Babe and Mask as well as original special features for such well-regarded titles as The Wedding Date, Timecop 2: The Berlin Decision, Bring It On Again and American Pie presents Band Camp.
Robert Nunez has written and reported on films for publications, Internet outlets and television stations all over the world. Between 1997 and 2001 he was the lead Hollywood correspondent and segment producer for both BSkyB's “The Movie Show” and continues to report for Cinecanal in Latin America, covering on press junkets, premieres, Hollywood ceremonies and awards shows. Through his years as an entertainment reporter, he has interviewed just about every major player in film and television.
Robert Nunez currently heads up Telekinetic Entertainment, a production company that provides interviews, movie-related programming and produces original independent documentaries.

We're All Angels is the incredible true story of 2 men who defy "traditional" definitions and roles to share their love of music, God and each other with the world. Share their journey as they work on the creation and release of their first pop album and learn about their journey together.

Masterfully filmed and produced by Robert Nunez, this movie is not just for those who are already fans of Jason & deMarco's music. In fact, you don't even need to be a fan of their music to take away the most important message of this film - that indeed, We're All Angels regardless of our sexuality or older teachings of religious institutions. Love is the most important thing, and with this movie, you'll see how these two incredible young men demonstrate that with every note they sing.
