American Patriotism has been thrust into the national debate in current political dialogue - yet the word Patriotism - like the word Love - is so subjective that people in the debate arrive agreeing or disagreeing with each other before the conversation begins. Often confused with Blind Nationalism, Patriotism may be one of the most misunderstood words in the current English vernacular.

The Color Bearers holds American Patriotism up to the light and looks at it from a human perspective instead of from an idealogical one.

Host: Vince Papale | bio
Veteran Broadcaster & Motivational Speaker Vince Papale is a true
workingman’s hero.

His story - that you should never give up and always continue to pursue your dreams - embodies the spirit of Philadelphia’s working man and serves to empower anyone who has ever been told they can’t achieve their goals.

In 1976, at the age of 30, Vince tried out for the Philadelphia Eagles, made the team, and became the oldest rookie in the history of the NFL. He still holds that record! He was with the Eagles for four seasons as a wide receiver before a shoulder injury ended his career in 1979.

After retiring with the Eagles, he was a popular television and radio broadcaster for eight years as an on-air personality. Vince is married to the former Janet Cantwell. They reside in Cherry Hill, NJ, with their two children, Gabriella and Vincent. Janet is a former member of the USA World Gymnastics team and has coached and taught gymnastics all over the world. They are the only married couple to have been inducted individually into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.

In 2006, Disney released a movie
about Vince called "Invincible" that
opened to rave reviews finishing #1 at the box office two weeks in a row. It features Mark Wahlberg as Vince; Greg Kinnear as former Eagles coach Dick Vermeil; and Elizabeth Banks as his wife Janet. After watching a preview of footage from The Color Bearers and upon hearing the mission of the two first-time filmmakers, Vince, reminded of his own improbable journey, quickly agreed to come on board
and lend his considerable talent and
energy to the Production.
And as always, Vince leaves nothing
on the field.

John Foley was born and raised
in Philadelphia. He began collaborating with veteran
TV producer and syndicator Bob Lott of Philadelphia's Teamworks International in 2004. "Up Close and Personal", an interview program featuring prominent African American artists and entertainers is their first joint effort to create a television series. The first two episodes feature Billy Dee Williams (Star Wars, Lady Sings the Blues, Mahogany) and George Clinton
(Parliament Funkadelic, P-Funk).
John has collaborated with Co-
Producer Steven Newbert on a number of commercial client services projects.
"The Color Bearers" is their first documentary collaboration.
At one time John earned a living as a professional musician, and he attended Temple University's school of Radio Television and Film.
John is currently the Director of Busi
ness Development for King of Prussia, PA based PMTV. PMTV provides Mobile Video Production services for Broadcast, Sports, Entertainment and Enterprise.
