Chef Carmine Marzano acquired a deep passion for cooking as a child and inherited the gift of culinary presentation from his father who spent the heart of his restaurant career as a waiter. Born in Reggio di Calabria, Italy, and raised in Torino in Reggio di Piemonte, Chef Marzano trained professionally at Instituto Alberghiero Statale in Pienerolo. After only 3 years as the executive chef at Ristorante Giudice in Torino, Chef Carmine came to the United States to assist another son of Reggio di Piemonte, Washington’s distinguished Chef Roberto Donna as sous chef at Ristorante Galileo. For 15 years, Chef Carmine has operated his own Restaurant Luigino which won the 2007 Zagat Restaurant award. At Luigino, Chef Carmine has maintained classic Italian Trattoria dishes specializing in Italian northern cuisine. Enjoy viewing his preparation of great family recipes in this film, and you’ll see the experience and food are as true as the Chef’s Italian heart and passion.
