Synopsis

Take a front row seat at one of the finest intimate concert venues on the US east Coast and discover the stunning musical experience known as The Subdudes.
It was July '07 when Tommy Malone, John Magnie and I first sat down together in Chicago to discuss a Subdudes Film.( They had just finished a storming gig) At first it was a very loose concept, but I felt the band needed a live recording out there. Fans like me , know from experience that The Subdudes reach another level when performing live.

As always happens, time passed and we didn't act on our inital conversations. This all changed when my business partner, Jerry Jones of Biographica Films , put forward a great concept: Catch The Subdudes live at The Rams Head in Annapolis Maryland, and then film them in a unique setting like the historic Pleasant Plains Farm on The Severn River near
The US Naval Academy. This would enable us to do interviews with the guys and add an intimate acoustic set to the mix.

The songs on this 2 DVD set are a selection that spans the entire Subdudes catalog and are performed with their unique brand of vocal harmony and superb musicianship.. Tunes from the recent Street Symphony album are given an enigmatic feel that brings them to life and can only be described as "Wow" .

Director: Jerel Jones | bio
After military service, Jerel launched his career as an advertising creative director. His creative work has garnered dozens of regional and national creative awards, including some of the advertising profession's most coveted prizes for creative excellence. Jerel has honed his filmmaking craft through working for a wide assortment of household names, including the Washington Post, CBS, VISA, MasterCard, First USA, and PeopleSoft.

On the business side, Jerel also claims numerous distinctions, including the founding and managing of two successful advertising agencies.

His previous work, U.S.S. Forrestal, The Burning Ballet, is a chronicle of one of naval warfare's most amazing chapters. Working with the veterans of U.S. Navy super Carrier, U.S.S. Forrestal, Jerel explored the events and aftermath of an event that still reverberates through the Navy 40 years later.

and third, full length documentary features.
Associate Producer: carl Gustafson | bio
After completing military service in 1972, Carl finished his BA degree in design at The University Of Kentucky and entered the film business as an art director for CBS affiliate WKYT in Lexington Kentucky. In 1980 he became a founding partner of Design Elements , one of Lexington's leading marketing design firms. Jerel recruited Carl , his old Navy Friend, as a partner in "The Jones Group " in 1983 . The two became a successful team producing advertising, design and corporate commericals for Black and Decker, MCI, Fannie Mae, National Geographic, McCormick, and many other blue chip accounts. Carl left the Jones Group in 1987 to form his own advertising firm. CICI. In 2004, Jerel created Biographica Films and reunited with Carl to pursue the ultimate career choice of every 18 year old boy. Rock and Roll films.
