• Jeff: Paul Clemens | bio

  Paul Clemens’ previous credits include the starring role in the acclaimed television movie, “A Death in Canaan” with Stefanie Powers and Brian Dennehy. He has also had starring and co-starring roles in feature films such as THE BEAST WITHIN with Ronny Cox, PROMISES IN THE DARK with Marsha Mason, THE PASSAGE with Anthony Quinn and James Mason and the television movie “The Family Man” with Edward Asner. He also appeared in the film COMMUNION with Christopher Walken. Clemens has guest-starred in numerous television shows including an award winning episode of “Quincy,” “Murder, She Wrote” and “The Ray Bradbury Theatre,” playing the title role in “The Martian” episode.

  A writer as well, Clemens has co-authored the book The Actor’s Book of Improvisation with Sandra Caruso. With his writing partner Ron Magid, Clemens has co-authored “Edgar Allan Poe: Once Upon a Midnight,” a new one-man play starring John Astin.

• Michele: Debra Henri | bio

  Prior to DAYBREAK, Debra Henri worked exclusively in threatre in New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Toronto, London and Los Angeles. Henri met Paul Clemens in1993, when they performed on-stage together in “Life On The Edge: Tales Of Urban Horror” for TheatrePhantastique. She was most recently seen in the feature film THE SECRET LIFE OF GIRLS, in which she plays “the other woman” who comes between Linda Hamilton and Eugene Levy. The film is distributed by First Look Pictures.

• Charlie: Jeff Bergquist | bio

  Jeff Bergquist is proud of his leading acting roles in repertory theaters across the country. Recently, he has devoted himself to such independent films as Paul Bojack's GLASS NECKITE, Jon Stevens' IRISH WHISKEY, Ben Vaughn's RAMBLER 65, and DAYBREAK. Additionally, Bergquist is co-writer of the feature film THAT SUMMER, which is now in the early stages of pre-production with Thomas Productions. Bergquist has served as the Artistic Director of the New Playwrights Foundation in Santa Monica since 1985.

• Ned: Michael James Kacey | bio

  Michael James Kacey has appeared on television in episodes of “All That” on Nickelodeon and “Beverly Hills 90210.” He has also appeared in a national Cracker Jacks commercial. Kacey is a native son of Shamokin, PA, where much of DAYBREAK was filmed. He was most recently seen in HBO Films’ LIVE FROM BAGHDAD.

• Mitch: Mitch Campbell | bio

  Mitch Campbell has been an actor for over ten years. He appeared as a rapist in the television series “America’s Most Wanted.” Although a chain smoker, Campbell anticipates quitting as soon as he can get the Patch to stay lit.

• Walter: Ian Thomaschik | bio

  Ian Tomaschik has appeared Off Broadway in “Interview with the Vampire” at the Judith Anderson, Off-Off Broadway in “Nuns Against Filth” at the Duplex, “The Good Time Boys” at Wings, and “The Last Adam” at Theatre 22. At the Mazer Theatre, Tomaschik has been seen in “Counselor at Law” and “Hamlet.” He is founding member of the Genesis Repertory Ensemble in New York City where he has performed in “Romeo and Juliet,” “The Merchant of Venice,” and “Macbeth.” Tomaschik can be seen in VIRGIN LARRY, a short film that recently won both the Audience Award and Coen Brothers Award at the Brooklyn Film Festival.

• Fallen Angel: Christopher Roberts | bio

  Christopher Roberts is another DAYBREAK native Pennsylvanian, having grown up in the Philadelphia suburbs and graduated from the University of the Arts School of Theatre. He now lives in New York City.

  Michael James Kacey makes his feature film-directing debut with DAYBREAK. He is a native of Shamokin, PA, where much of DAYBREAK was filmed. Kacey’s second project, THE POET LAUREATE OF RADIO: AN INTERVIEW WITH NORMAN CORWIN, is a feature-length documentary film wherein the Golden Age of Radio legend speaks about his entire career. Leonard Maltin wrote of the DVD: “to have this chronicle in his own words is priceless.”

  Kacey is currently working on RADIO CHANGED AMERICA, a documentary about the impact of the nation’s first true mass medium.

  Formed in 1997 for the purpose of producing the works of filmmaker Michael James Kacey and based in Los Angeles, California.

• Director of Photography: Cameron Cutler | bio

  Cameron Culter began his career as a cinematographer on documentary films tracing the development of San Francisco’s Filmore District, and Bay area artist Tony Douquet. From there, he expanded into television commercials and music videos. His involvement in the Oakland music scene afforded him the opportunity to work on many significant videos, most notable Too Short’s “The Ghetto,” and MTV Video Award nominee “Humpty Dance” by Digital Underground.

  After relocating his career to Los Angeles, he expanded his work as Director of Photography into short films and full-length features. Following his work on DAYBREAK, Cutler completed LA FEMME BALLON. This unique film won First Place Fiction at the USA Film Festival. He provided additional photography for the Michael Addis film POOR WHITE TRASH starring Sean Young and William Devane. Cutler is also renewing his collaboration with Michael James Kacey, working on RADIO CHANGED AMERICA.

• Composer: Sonia Wisgo | bio

  Sonia Wisgo is the composer for DAYBREAK. A native of Shamokin, PA, she
  graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston with a degree in Film
  Scoring. Wisgo currently resides in Los Angeles where she is pursuing a career
  as an animation composer. Her credits include the Discovery Channel series “America!” as music editor for "Cajun Gumbo" and "Delta Blues and Gospel" episodes and composer for various independent projects. She has assisted on TV movies such as "A House Divided", “The Audrey Hepburn Story", "Mr. Rock & Roll" and "Haven."

• Picture Editor: James H. Neuhausen | bio

  James H. Neuhausen has been working in television for over twenty years. Starting as a cameraman at a local ABC affiliate in Florida he quickly moved into the position of Director for the local news and interview shows. After several years he moved to Austin, Texas, to attend the University of Texas where he continued to work on his BA degree. He also continued working in local television where he learned to edit videotape for the local news.

  After two years he moved to Los Angeles where his first job was working on a feature film. His following jobs took him back into television where he worked as a Director or Editor for several stations, cable networks and finally CBS. After several years with CBS he was promoted to Avid Supervisor, a position where he oversees the non-linear editing of all promos and presentations for the network. Neuhausen has edited two film shorts, but DAYBREAK is his first feature.
