Film Overview

School and Church Art Theatre productions, created by Sharon Luanne Rivera aims at creating music, plays and raps to help in the learning of things taught in the classroom. Teaching art in Nashville, Tn. since 1998, Sharon started setting her art appreciation lessons to music. She actually took her already produced, original gospel songs and rewrote the words to help her students remember important facts. It really helped her students to remember, and they really enjoyed doing the raps and singing the songs. Sharon decided to record the art songs on CD and make it available to all teachers. After the first volume of Rappin' Clappin' Singin' 'bout Art CD, Sharon decided to do a video showing all of the choreography that she had used with the children on the raps and songs. Each song is introduced with a rap. Sharon uses the video a lot in her k through 4th art classroom. Her children never seem to get tired of getting up and doing the raps and singing the songs. It is a great tool for learning important things about art and artists. Sharon also has a volume II of Rappin' Clappin' Singin' 'bout Art in CD form and plans to do DVD with it also. Other DVD's projects she plans to do will be "Rappin' Clappin' Singin' 'bout HEROES" which will have songs and raps about important people such as Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Junior, George Washington, and more. DVD comes with a Lyric Booklet!
