Film Overview

This sequel to award-winning film maker Ken Jenkin’s “Illumination” DVD is a more than two hour journey of magical sights and sounds, including beautiful flowing colors, unfolding mandala’s, starscapes, crystal worlds, laser effects, and more. Part one, which is over an hour long, is set to the ethereal synthesizer music of Michael Diamond, with a special guest appearance by ambient music pioneer Steven Halpern. Part two showcases the electronic sound artistry of Toronto composer, Sylken.

Illumination 2 is visual music – an experience of light and sound, designed to nurture peace, creativity, and inspiration. Colorful images dance in harmony with celestial music, creating a spellbinding experience, an enchanting feast for the eyes and ears. The imagery morphs and evolves slowly, with some segments filmed in soft focus, creating a relaxing, sensual experience that's easy on the eyes. In fact, some viewers have reported that it makes a perfect background for intimate spaces.

Unlike some other “light show” type DVD’s, which are created digitally on a computer, much of Ken Jenkin’s special effects magic is created optically, on custom made light projection devices, which Ken has designed and built. He has also done special effects for a production by Shirley MacLaine, as well as worked on numerous documentaries and visionary art DVD’s.
