If Sweet Daddy Cool Breeze is anything, it is a PERFORMING band. With 4 studio recorded CDs under their belt, it is still and foremost a “LIVE, PEFORMING” band.
While it’s true they love to write and record their own music, as well as their own versions of songs from beloved Blues artists that have paved the way for every contemporary Blues and Rock band today, they live to perform for an audience! There is just something about the energy and adrenalin that comes from playing humble odes on a stage, even for very few, that just cannot be duplicated in a recording studio. As Wally “Sweet Daddy” Greaney himself often says, “Two or 2,000, you get the same show!”
This DVD was shot for Don O’Dell’s Blues Time TV Show, at the end of the group’s winter tour. To say the band was exhausted is an understatement! But, as always, the moment that first note is hit, exhaustion is forgotten, and it’s down to business.
Wally Greaney, and guitarist Mark Easton have been playing their burning Blues together for more than 20 years, longer than many marriages!
