Amateur documentary film. A group of SCA members from the Society for Creative Anachronism gather in a small workshop to watch blacksmiths create an antique style rose from a solid bar of iron. By force of fire and hammer a rose slowly emerges from one of the toughest and most unyielding metals. Forged from a solid bar of 1-1/2 inch steel using sledge hammers, hand hammers, chisels, tongs, and other special blacksmith's tools. Using only techniques taught to European blacksmiths for centuries(no modern welding equipment).
Amateur film shot on old VHS equipment, so picture is not as sharp as one would expect from modern digital equipment, and color is often not accurate due to poor lighting conditions in the shop.
