Synopsis

On 13th January 2008 all three Cunard ocean liners, the Queen Mary 2, the Queen Elizabeth 2 and the new Queen Victoria (on her Maiden Transatlantic voyage) all met for one historic rendezvous in New York Harbor. On 22nd April all three ships met for the only time in Cunard’s home port of Southampton. On 16th October 2008 the QE2 made her emotional final New York farewell departure and last Transatlantic crossing in tandem with the QM2 shortly before retiring in Dubai as a floating hotel. "Three Queens - An International Rendezvous" is an amazing first hand visual video documentary of these rare gatherings all in one complete collectible DVD.

In Southampton board QM2 for a once in a lifetime event up the Solent to salute QE2 and Queen Victoria. From Queen Mary 2 follow QE2 with Queen Victoria behind into New York Harbor. Director: Robert Neal Marshall | bio
Robert Neal Marshall is an actor, writer producer and director who started off working in the West End of London as assistant to late producer Richard Armitage on several hit shows, including ME AND MY GIRL with Robert Lindsay and Emma Thompson, HIGH SOCIETY with Natasha Richardson, THE ENTERTAINER with Peter Bowles, and Rowan Atkinson's one man show A NEW REVUE. While in London, Robert produced and directed the successful West End debut of "IS THERE LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL?" at the Donmar Warehouse.

Back in the United States, as a member of the Lincoln Center Theatre Director' Lab, Robert met and collaborated with composer Tim Battle from Boys Choir of Harlem. Together they adapted Diane Stanley's Award winning book RUMPELSTILTSKIN'S DAUGHTER into a children's musical that has been presented to critical acclaim at the prestigious Assembly Rooms at the Edinburgh Festival, at the National Theatre in DC, and recently for Theatre IV, the State Children's Theatre of Virginia.

As a member of Screen Actors Guild, AFTRA and Actors' Equity, Robert has appeared in leading roles on several major stage, television and film projects, including as FDNY Captain Jay Jonas in the Emmy Nominated COUNTDOWN TO GROUND ZERO for the History Channel and a recurring role as John Zaffis in A HAUNTING for The Discovery Channel. He will soon appear as Captain Richard Phillips of the Maersk Alabama in an upcoming Discovery Channel special. Robert is also a Guest Speaker on board the Queen Mary 2 as part of the Cunard Insights Enrichment Programme.

Robert's Documentary DVD "Constellation Dreams" about traveling on a restored Lockheed Super-G Constellation Vintage Airliner is available online and via distributors. An avid Ocean Liner enthusiast, Robert is very pleased and proud to present this DVD "Three Queens - An International Rendezvous". While this new work is not a marketing tool or historical account, it manages to capture the incredible feeling of being in the presence of these wonderful ships.

Although the entire dvd is wonderful, QE2’s final transatlantic crossing is, for me at least, a very emotional segment. I’ve no shame in admitting that seeing the ship in the role for which she was designed, one last time, brought a few tears to my eyes. Filmed from various vantage points on QM2, inside and on deck, the images of QE2 barreling along in her element are nothing short of spectacular. The crystal clear video, moving soundtrack, and nearly flawless editing combine to make a production that Robert Neal Marshall can be proud of; all honor to him."
