  Iris Huey is a graduate of Howard University where she studied film and theater. As a filmmaker, actress, writer and spoken word artist, Huey has played a variety of critical roles in many productions both in front and behind the scenes. One of Huey's most notable projects is a short film she wrote, produced and directed called “Scratches.” This award winning short film tells the story of a sex-crazed player who thinks life is all good until he ends up at an open mic café and gets more than he bargained for. In 2003, "Scratches" won the short film competition at the Arizona Black Filmmakers Showcase.

  In 2006, Huey established Big I Entertainment, a motion picture production and distribution company created to bring quality films to the African American adult community. The company’s mission is to create films that encourage, motivate and inspire using character driven stories that are relatable to the African American community.
  
  Second Chance is the first feature length film produced by Big I Entertainment. This urban drama tells the story of a young man who left his girlfriend and his baby boy because he could not handle the pressures of fatherhood. Five years later, he returns in search of a second chance at being a father . . . and a second chance to reunite with the woman he's always loved.
