THE WITCH OF PUNGO and THE FERRY PLANTATION HOUSE
Two stories you should know if you're coming to Virginia Beach in search of haunted houses. The first is a tale of Grace Sherwood who was found guilty of being a witch in 1706. After her death the local townsmen did something that caused a plague of rats in the community!! Her legend lives on, and some people believe SHE does too. The second story is about the ferry plantation house. Built in 1830 it is believed to be the most haunted structure in Virginia Beach. There are at least eleven ghosts that roam the house and grounds.
