A mockumentary about the desperate nature of local stand up comedy that will leave you asking the question, "Am I laughing at the them or with them?" Jerry Martin (Dean Lewis) is a small-time comedian who teaches comedy classes to pay his bills. Enter mediocre documentary filmmaker Johnny Crass, whose latest project will focus on Jerry and his comedic universe. Through Crass' lens, we meet the members of Jerry's new comedy class. It is Jerry's job to mold these folks inot comedic shape in time for their showcase. Simultaneously, a comedy contest is to be held at the local comedy club. Jerry learns his arch nemesis, Jim "Buckeye" Marvin (David Wilk), who is infamous on the comedy circuit for stealing material will be a judge on the panel.
